I was commissioned by Anyways Creative on behalf of Google Design to create 9 artworks inspired by an op-ed article written by Margaret Lee on why our current definition of leadership doesn’t match the rallying cry for diversity, equity, and inclusion. I was inspired by Margaret’s story as an Asian woman myself, and wanted to capture her family’s backstory and portraits as respectfully and celebratory as possible.
